Mastering the Fretboard

This tip comes from Andrew Koblick, owner/creater of the Guitar5Day program .

This tip helps you to achieve mastery of the fretboard by practicing a 4-octave run covering all strings. Try it slowly at first, then gradually build up your speed until your finger positions become automatic.

How to hold a Barre Chord

This tip comes from Chris Elmore, the mastermind behind ElmoreMusic, who provide GuitarTips, Guitar Leads, GuitarSongs and GuitarTheory resources.

This is quite a basic tip, but for learning guitarists it is one of the early hurdles which can stop you in your tracks. Most early learners try to avoid Barre chords, and 'learn around' them - but if you want to be a Guitar Player - barre chords are something you must master
